Language structures: What colour is the (toy)?; Where’s the (toy)?
Time: 15 minutes
Materials: worksheet, crayons, lepidlo
- Show the children the handout and go through the following instructions before giving it to them.
- Give the children the messy bedroom handout. At the bottom of the handout are small pictures of toys which belong in the room.
- Tell the children which colour they should use to colour in the individual pictures: „Colour the (train) (red), please.“
- Check comprehension by asking the children\. “What colour is the (train)?“ Show the children your coloured pictures if they need a little help.
- Then instruct the children to cut out the pictures. If possible, these could be prepared prior to this lesson in an activity lesson. Say: “Cut out the pictures please.“
- According to your instruction the children glue the coloured toys in the room: “The (train) is under the chair.“
- Allow the children to check that they have everything in the correct place by showing them the solution as a completed enlargement of the worksheet on the board.
