GUESSING
(Transport)

• Show the children the pictures of the means of transport. Name them in English and shuffle them.
• Place the cards either on the floor, or on the board face down. Nobody can see the pictures.
• The children guess what is in each card. Ask them: “What’s in this card?” The children may call out: “It’s a car.” So we turn the card over to make sure that the car is there. If so, leave the card face up if not, leave the card face down.

Variation:

In case you would like to practise questions and prepositions of place, hide a card somewhere in the classroom and ask the children: “Is the (car) on the window?”

Note:

The activity is adaptable to practise any vocabulary.
