CHRISTMAS DICE GAME

Language structures: How many (presents) have you got?
Time: 20 minutes
Materials: worksheet, dice
- Give the children the worksheet; go through the vocabulary together. Ask: “What is number one?” “It’s a Christmas tree.”
- A student rolls the dice; according to the number he/she gets, he/she draws a given object into the living room. Once he/she has drawn each thing at least once, the game is over. Students may play in pairs and take turns in rolling the dice.
- Each student then counts and writes into his/her worksheet how many presents, candles, etc. he/she has in the living room.
- The teacher walks around the classroom asking: “How many presents have you got?” In the final stage, students may work in pairs, or possibly move around the class freely, and ask their classmates.
Variation:
The same activity may be used for Easter topic. Worksheet with spring garden and 6 typical Easter things: For example: 1- rabbit, 2 – chicken, 3 – tulip, 4 –lamb, 5 – egg, 6 –basket.
