HALLOWEEN DICTATION

Cross-curricular links: English language, Humans and their world
Target language: scary house, garden, spider, black cat, witch, pumpkin, candles aj.; on, under, next to…
Time: 20 minutes
Materials: worksheet, crayons
- Give the children the handout and tell them: “Have a look at the picture. What is this?“ and show them the house and the garden in the picture. Then children draw and colour according to the teacher’s instructions: “Colour the house black. Colour the windows orange. Draw three spiders on the window.“ etc.
- At the end of the activity the children will compare their pictures.
Extension Activity:
The children describe their pictures to the class e.g. “There are three spiders on the window“ etc.
