INFECTION
(Body)
Subject: Physical education
Cross-curricular links: English language, Humans and their world
Time: 10 minutes
- One of the children represents a virus running among the others and trying to give them the infection: "You are a virus. Catch somebody." When he/she catches someone, he/she calls out: "Stop. You are ill."
- An ill person must have a healthy one crawl under him/her: "Let a healthy person crawl under you." This returns him/her to health, and he/she may start running again: "You become healthy again." The healthy person must crawl quickly, so that he/she does not catch the infection too: "Do it quickly."
- If the virus spreads onto the healthy person who is just crawling under the ill one, the healthy person becomes ill too. Another healthy person then must crawl under him/her.
- When everyone has the infection, or when the virus is too tired, the game is over: "The game is over. Everybody is ill./The virus is tired."
