Rhymes and poems related to Chapter 6 ANIMALS
Monkeys can jump and climb trees
Giraffes are tall and they eat leaves
Parrots are colourful and they can fly
Elephants can’t but would love to try.
Turtles are green and they can swim
Cheetahs can run and they always win
Zebras look like horses but they are black and white
Hippos are big and snore at night.
There Were Froggies
There were froggies by the lake,
They were thinking what to make.
They all swam off until there was one
Saying loudly: It’s no more fun!
From a Window In My House
From a window in my house,
I could see a little mouse.
Was she running? Was she jumping?
Was she laughing, what about?
Five Little Piggies
"It’s time for my piggies to go to bed."
The great big mother piggy said.
"So I will count them first to see
If all my piggies came back to me.
One little piggy, two little piggies, three little piggies dear
Four little piggies, five little piggies
Yes, they’re all here!"
Hen, Hen, Count To Ten
Hen, hen, count to ten;
Goat, goat, get your coat;
Pig, pig, dance a jig.
Mouse, mouse, build a house;
Chick, chick, make it quick;
Cat, cat, find your hat.
Bear, bear, go upstairs,
Mite, mite, say good night;
Sheep, sheep, go to sleep.
An Elephant Goes Like This And That
An elephant goes like this and that:
He’s terribly big and he’s terribly fat.
He has no fingers, and he has no toes,
But goodness gracious, what a nose!
At the zoo we saw a bear
He had long, dark fuzzy hair
We saw a lion in a cage.
He was in an awful rage.
We saw the big, long-necked giraffe,
And the silly monkeys made us laugh
But my favorite animal at the zoo
Is the elephant--how about you?
This Little Piggy.
This little piggy went to market,
This little piggy stayed at home.
This little piggy had roast beef
And this little piggy had none.
This little piggy went wee, wee, wee,
All the way home.
