• Give the children the handouts *1).
• Ask them to cut out the pictures of their parents, that are along the sides of the handout: “Please cut out the pictures of the mums and dads.“ *2)
• The children should find the children of all the parents in the playground and make a family from them: “Where are the parents’ children? Find them and place the parents next to their children. Make a family.“
• Look at the families on the picture together and name the members of the family.
• If the children can name the continents in English they can say which continent or country the people in the pictures are from. (Europe, Asia, South America, Africa etc.).

*1) You can make a big poster similar to the handout, but the pictures will be much bigger. Cut out the figures, then place the poster of the playground with the playing children on the magnetic board and together with the children find the parents of the children. Fix the pictures on the board with magnets.

*2) The children can cut out the pictures prior to this lesson in their Technology lesson.
