Time: 15 minutes
Materials: worksheet
- Each student gets a copy of the worksheet.
- Ask children to cut the pictures into cards following pre-printed lines: “Please cut the pictures. Follow the line."
- The teacher reads the sentences one by one (one sentence = one picture), and children follow her instructions to order cut out pictures: “Order the pictures as I’m reading the sentences."
- Then, the teacher reads the sentences one more time. This time, he/she reads a sentence and asks the children to show him/her a given picture and repeat the sentence either in chorus or individually: “Show me the correct picture, please. Repeat the sentence.”
Variation:
The teacher reads the sentences and children demonstrate their meanings.
Extension Activity:
Children colour the pictures (which may be used for revising the colours in English).
