BODY PUPPETS
(Body)

Subject: Humans and their world
Cross-curricular links: English language
Target language: body parts
Time: 10 minutes

  • Stand the children in two lines facing each other and instruct one row that they should relax and let the child facing them move their bodies for them and bend them and shape them anyway they want.
  • When they have finished, look at the finished body sculptures and comment on them as a way of re-modelling the target language. Say, while laughing when appropriate: “Wow, his/her legs are here and one arm is here and another arm is there”.
  • Swap around so the other children are now the puppets and repeat.
